West Bengal's Bally bridge to be shut for 100 hours for repairs

Howrah Police announce the shutdown of the Dakshineswar-Ballyghat and Ballyghat-Bally Halt Road flanks of Bally Bridge for 100 hours from Jan 23 to 27 due to Eastern Railway renovation work. The Belgharia Expressway's Dakshineswar-Airport flank will also be closed for 12 hours. Traffic will be diverted to Nivedita Setu.

HOWRAH: The Howrah Police have issued a notification announcing the closure of the Dakshineswar-Ballyghat flank of Bally Bridge for 100 hours between Jan 23 and 27.
The Ballyghat-Bally Halt Road under the bridge will also be shut for 100 hours.
The Dakshineswar-airport flank of Belgharia Expressway will be closed to traffic for 12 hours from 8 pm on Jan 23 to 8 am on Jan 24.
The traffic closures are being implemented to enable renovation work on the bridge as well as underneath it by Eastern Railway.
Traffic will be diverted to Nivedita Setu alongside the Bally Bridge.
Only two-wheelers and three-wheelers from Dakshineswar towards Bally will be allowed to ply through the Dakshineswar-Bally flank of Bally Bridge between 8 am to 8 pm.
